Despite general cynicism towards politics, citizen involvement is actually needed in order to ensure good performance and equity in Montreal’s democratic environment. Involvement with a political party is only one of many ways to make a difference and, if that’s a path you choose, we openly welcome you and take it upon ourselves to make it a most enriching experience for you.
Involvement with Projet Montréal
Since the very beginning, Projet Montréal has encouraged citizen involvement at the municipal level and at the core of its party. As a party, we were pioneers in a local participation model for proceedings. As a matter of fact, in addition to having a board of directors, Projet Montréal counts on local representation in each borough that is directly involved in making decisions and forming party positions in their respective boroughs. Furthermore, Projet Montréal encourages its members to continuously reflect upon various elements of its platform.
