Doctor of planning, author, university professor and conference speaker, Richard Bergeron touts a remarkable track record. His diverse professional experience has made him a scholar on several aspects of urban planning, development, real estate, management of services, environment and transport – domains for which his speeches, publications, reports and conferences are all points of reference. A man with many sides, passionate for his city of adoption, Richard Bergeron first involved himself in city politics in 2004, through the founding of the party that he continues to lead today.

Richard Bergeron was first elected as a city councillor for Montreal in November 2005. Then the 2009 electoral campaign took 14 candidates from Projet Montréal to victory, within a total of six boroughs.
