Geneviève Morency is a young woman who is motivated, curious and interested in improving the quality of life of citizens and, by the same token, the world in which we live. She first knew the neighborhood 20 years ago, when she was studying at the Conservatoire de danse de Montréal at the corner of Jean-Talon and Alexandra streets. She has lived in the Parc-Extension district for the last two years. For many years, Geneviève travelled and lived abroad, where she did internships, studied and worked. She was also involved in international cooperation in Central America for four years. Her organizational skills, ability to listen and capacity to work as a team with different stakeholders have served her well in her role as program coordinator abroad. With a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Economics, Geneviève has been a sessional lecturer, manager and coordinator of projects and programs in several sectors. Recently, she worked for a research center in information technology and artificial intelligence in the Parc-Extension district.

She is currently involved with a women's economic empowerment organization and a community of practice for women in project management. She also served on the executive committee of a provincial political party for two years.

Geneviève has a real desire to participate in the development of the district, to improve the living conditions of all, to listen to citizens and to ensure that the district retains its diversity and its unique essence.
