A Wisconsin transplant but a Montrealer at heart, this is Jill Lance’s first foray in municipal politics. Jill lives on Boulevard Mount Royal in Outremont and, has both a Master's degree in Urban Planning from McGill University and a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the Université de Montréal. Her fields of study include participatory urban planning, the design of user-friendly streets as well as the study of cultural and heritage landscapes. While working at Parc Jean-Drapeau, Jill helped draft the site’s conservation plan and implemented the objectives as laid out in the new master plan.
" Projet Montréal’s track record in Outremont is phenomenal. Their commitment towards the creation of green lanes, the demineralization and greening of the neighbourhood have convinced me. I look forward to working with Valerie, Philipe, Mindy and Fanny to go even further.”
Family, safety and ecology: that’s the vision of Projet Montréal Outremont. Jill Lance, Fanny Magini, Valérie Patreau, Mindy Pollak and Philippe Tomlinson will implement the ecological transition. The plan is to make streets greener and safer, increase “soft mobility”, make parks greener by adding trees, flowers, fruits and vegetables, develop sports facilities, improve cleanliness, support our community organizations, schools, childcare centres and businesses, and improve relations between the different communities through dialogue. Projet Montréal’s multidisciplinary team hopes to continue its actions while enhancing Outremont’s built and natural heritage.See more
