I entered politics in 2019 to accelerate the ecological transition. That motivation remains as strong today. Added to this is the housing and homelessness crisis, which will continue to demand a great deal of attention over the next few years. What has driven me since the beginning of my political involvement is to make a difference through concrete decisions and actions to make our city and our neighbourhoods fairer, more inclusive and greener.

My four priorities are clear: the ecological transition, the housing crisis, the development of the East and a rigorous, high-performance administration.

My commitment to the members of Projet Montréal is to always defend with conviction the intrinsic values of social and environmental justice of our political party, which are also my own. I want to ensure that every Montrealer has access to housing, regardless of income. To achieve this, we need to increase the supply of off-market housing by developing new units and withdrawing buildings from the speculative market.

For the ecological transition, this means preserving natural environments, developing green infrastructure and improving our network of reserved bus lanes. We've done REV, and we're continuing. It has changed the lives of thousands of people who now get around safely by bike. We now need to give ourselves an “REV” for buses, so that people who get on board are no longer stuck in traffic. It's up to us. We can do it!

Over the past 20 years, I've held a number of management positions, including with the Montréal Urban Ecology Centre, PME Montréal, Desjardins and Communauto France. In 2019 and 2021, I was elected mayor of Plateau-Mont-Royal. Over the past five years, I've acquired in-depth knowledge of the municipal apparatus through my responsibilities on the Executive Committee and as Borough Mayor. My last year as President of the Executive Committee enabled me to gain a thorough understanding of the city's budgetary situation, and to work closely with the entire management team.

I humbly believe that the Montreal population, in the current context of economic uncertainty and multiple crises, needs someone who is reassuring, pragmatic, recognized for his mastery of the issues, his ability to make decisions, who listens and brings people together, while remaining clearly aligned with deep-rooted progressive, environmentalist and feminist values. I'm not a particularly flamboyant person, but people know they can count on me, that I have the ability to move from idea to action and to solve problems creatively and decisively.

In the coming weeks, I'll be embarking on a major tour to get to know the different local realities. My aim is to put forward a solid platform, adapted to the different territorial realities, and thus contribute to the renewal of our party's ideas. I look forward to talking with members and other candidates.
