Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles
In Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles, we enjoy a high quality of life thanks to the presence of the St. Lawrence River and the Rivière des Prairies. With nearly 150 parks and green spaces, including two nature parks, there is a wide variety of outdoor activities available and protecting biodiversity is at the heart of everything we do.You can explore our area along Gouin Boulevard, which runs alongside the Rivière des Prairies, or through Parc de la Traversée in Pointe-aux-Trembles, a former railway yard that has been transformed into a linear park accessible year-round on foot or by bike. The river shuttle connecting the Old Port and our borough remains a must-see.Our community is tightly knit thanks to its residents, community organizations and meeting places, such as our two public markets.

Diversify plantings with perennials and edible species.
Systematically integrate resilience and climate adaptation measures in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Update and strengthen regulations accordingly.
Protect riverbanks and promote access to the river and the St. Lawrence: redesign street ends, install docks.
Improve cleanliness and waste management in parks and public spaces by significantly increasing the number of bins across the territory.
Sustainable and Safe Mobility
Ensure the long-term future of the river shuttle to the Old Port and redevelop its surroundings in collaboration with relevant authorities.
