Good news for the Saint-Paul district. On August 15, the Sud-Ouest Borough inaugurated the new facilities at Parc Émery-Sauvé, located between Cardinal and Denonville streets. In addition to the new universally accessible and inclusive play modules, the Sud-Ouest is breaking new ground with the installation of an access ramp ensuring greater independence for young users. At the inaugural party, the children attending Maison Répit Oasis were delighted to take advantage of these facilities, which have been adapted to their needs.

Benoit Dorais, mayor of the Sud-Ouest borough and vice-chairman of the City of Montreal's executive committee, with Anne-Marie Sigouin, borough councillor for Saint-Paul-Émard-Saint-Henri-Ouest, members of the borough's management and staff who contributed to the project, and partners including Maison Répit Oasis (CNW Group/Sud-Ouest borough (City of Montreal)).

Quote

“Thanks to the access ramp, children [LP1] in wheelchairs can play in the 5 to 12 module, without assistance. This is a first in the Borough, and we intend to continue innovating to make the Sud-Ouest [LP2] ever more universally accessible. LP3] I'd like to thank everyone who took part in the citizen consultation. This exercise validated the needs of the people in the neighborhood. Collectively, we can be very proud of these new recreational facilities adapted to the needs of a wider clientele.” -
Benoit Dorais, Mayor of the Sud-Ouest Borough and Vice-Chairman of the Ville de Montréal Executive Committee.
