Projet Montréal leader Luc Rabouin announced today that Sarah V. Doyon will be running for the Hochelaga district in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough. Sarah is taking over from Eric Alan Caldwell, who has been representing the Hochelaga district since 2017, also under the Projet Montréal banner.
With this new candidacy, the Projet Montréal team for Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is now complete. Alia Hassan-Cournol is running for borough mayor, Eddy Perez in Maisonneuve-Longue-Pointe, Paul Jacques-Migneault in Louis-Riel, and Suzie Miron in Tétreaultville. This team is entering the election campaign with a clear objective: to deliver concrete results for Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve in terms of climate resilience, the fight against the housing crisis, and economic development.
Biography – Sarah V. Doyon
Sarah V. Doyon has over 15 years of experience in community organizing and management. Throughout her career, she has led large-scale initiatives and built strong alliances between civil society and decision-makers to advance the fight against climate change and promote public transit.
As former executive director of Trajectoire Québec, she has been the voice of public transportation users, advocating for access, quality, and equity in services across the province. At the helm of the Partenariat Climat Montréal, she has put her expertise to work in the fight against climate change and the development of our metropolis.
With a degree in political science and specialized graduate studies in environment, health, and disaster management, she has also worked as an advisor and political attaché, developing a keen understanding of local and government issues. A mother of two young girls, she lives in the Hochelaga neighborhood and wants to put her leadership and energy to work for a more accessible, greener, and prouder community.
