The leader of Projet Montréal, Luc Rabouin, today unveiled his team for the borough of Montréal-Nord. Led by Roger Petit-Frère as borough mayor, the team will also include Annie-Claude Beaudry as city councilor for the Ovide-Clermont district and Fatima Gabriela Salazar Gomez as city councilor for the Marie-Clarac district.
Projet Montréal is presenting complementary candidates, bringing together strong voices from community action, education, citizen mobilization and sustainable development. Their priority is clear: defend the right to housing, improve mobility, strengthen public services and support the youth of Montréal-Nord. This team will build a borough where everyone has a place, where diversity is valued and where neighborhoods develop on a human scale, in a spirit of solidarity and sustainability.
Biography – Roger Petit-Frère
Roger Petit-Frère is a certified administrator, educator and community leader with deep roots in Montreal North. For over twenty years, he has been involved in social development, governance and community life in his borough. As Executive Director of the Centre Jean-Paul-Lemay since 2006, he has helped make it a leading organization in education and community services, while overseeing the acquisition and renovation of its infrastructure. A founding member and former president of L'ICI (L'organisme pour l'Intégration, la Citoyenneté et l'Inclusion), he works to welcome and integrate newcomers. His civic engagement extends to numerous organizations and round tables, including the Table de quartier de Montréal-Nord, where he served for nearly a decade. A former political attaché and citizen journalist, he puts his expertise in governance, management and mobilization at the service of his community. A proud representative of Montreal's diversity, Roger Petit-Frère now wants to make the Montreal North mayor's office a lever for building a more inclusive, supportive and people-oriented borough.
Biography – Annie-Claude Beaudry
Annie-Claude Beaudry is a seasoned project management and public policy professional with over 20 years of experience at Parks Canada. With a master's degree in project management and PMP certification, she has coordinated major events, managed heritage sites and contributed to strategic planning and investment management for Canada's largest federal land manager. At the same time, she has pursued an artistic career in theater and founded a creative company, combining organizational rigor with creativity. Very involved in her community, she has served on several boards of directors, co-founded a green alley committee, and worked to promote linguistic diversity in the public service. Recognized for her dynamism, unifying leadership, and commitment to social justice and environmental values, she now wishes to put her expertise and energy to work for the residents of Ovide-Clermont to build a greener, more inclusive and more united borough.
Biography – Fatima Gabriela Salazar Gomez
Fatima Gabriela Salazar Gomez is an activist and professional deeply rooted in Montreal North. With a degree in communications from the University of Montreal, she has focused her career on citizen participation and social justice. As a project manager at Hoodstock, she has contributed to transformative initiatives such as Super Voisines and sustainable mobility projects, while collaborating on the Transition en commun initiative. As chair of the board of directors of the Comité logement de Montréal-Nord and involved in several local organizations, she has worked for years to defend the right to housing, inclusion and ecological transition. Driven by a desire to build a more equitable and sustainable future, she now wishes to put her experience and energy to work for the residents of Marie-Clarac.
