It is with great enthusiasm that Projet Montréal leader Valérie Plante has announced the candidacy of Ghassan Baroudi for the Île Bizard - Sainte-Geneviève borough mayoral by-election, to be held on December 17.


Mr. Baroudi's management skills are undeniable, and he stands out for his commitment to his community. He holds an MBA and a Master's degree in architecture, and works as a director in Commercial and Risk Management at a multinational consulting engineering firm. His many involvements in the ecological transition and citizen mobilization are important assets that he now wishes to put at the service of the population of Île Bizard - Sainte-Geneviève as mayor. Among other things, he founded the Focal Zone organization, dedicated to mentoring and knowledge sharing, is a board member of the West Island Crisis Centre and was recently appointed as a board member of the Coalition Climat Montréal. In 2021, he was part of Concertation Montréal's Groupe des Trente, an engagement program to inspire leaders from diverse backgrounds.


Ghassan Baroudi has been a resident of the Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève borough since 2015, and is strongly attached to this exceptional living environment. He chose to settle here because of its proximity to nature. He hopes to put his vast experience at the service of his fellow citizens to create an environment focused on citizen services and quality of life.
