The leader of Projet Montréal, Valérie Plante, is proud to count on the support of the Association des pompiers de Montréal (ADPM) in the race for mayor of Montréal. The firefighters of Montreal wanted to attest to the leadership of Valérie Plante and her excellent management during the emergencies that have marked the last mandate, such as floods, heat waves and of course the pandemic of COVID-19.
Valérie Plante's exceptional collaboration with the Firefighters' Association has ensured the well-being and safety of Montrealers. With Valérie Plante's team :
- The Firefighters' Association contributed to the successful response to the floods that affected the residents of Pierrefonds and Ile Bizard in 2017.
- The Firefighters Association ensured food security for the most vulnerable and the homeless by contributing massively to food distribution organized by community partners.
- Prevention workers were mobilized to assist at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport during the first wave of the pandemic.
Valérie Plante and Projet Montréal are pleased with this important endorsement and are committed to continue to work closely with Montreal's firefighters during the next mandate to ensure the safety of Montrealers, while guaranteeing harmonious and efficient working relationships.
"I have seen how dedicated these men and women are and how they never hesitate to come to the aid of Montrealers. Together, we have formed a magnificent team in terms of both labour relations and public safety. It is an honour to receive their support today and the entire Projet Montréal team joins me in thanking them for their exceptional work during emergency operations. - Valérie Plante
