The leader of Projet Montréal, Luc Rabouin, announced this morning that Clément Badra will be running for city councilor for the Snowdon district in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough. His candidacy joins those of Gracia Kasoki Katahwa, candidate for borough mayor, Émilie Brière in the Côte-des-Neiges district, Despina Sourias in the Loyola district, and Peter McQueen in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district.



With this candidacy, Projet Montréal confirms its commitment to offering CDN–NDG residents a strong team that is rooted in its neighbourhoods and determined to tackle the borough's major challenges. With his expertise in urban planning and the environment, Clément Badra will be able to support Snowdon residents in the face of major urban development projects, ensuring that they are carried out with respect for the living environment and local needs. His commitment to social justice and citizen participation also makes him an essential ally in strengthening social cohesion and building a neighborhood where everyone feels represented and included.



Biography - Clément Badra


Clément Badra is a specialist in urban planning and environmental policy who has been involved for several years in projects related to adapting cities to climate change and citizen participation. He has been based in the borough for nearly 10 years, where, with his background in the environment, urban planning, and sustainable development, he has coordinated greening and citizen participation projects, notably by working with community organizations in Côte-des-Neiges. Working with elected officials in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough for several years, he has acquired a thorough knowledge of municipal mechanisms, local governance, and the social fabric of the borough, and wishes to draw on this experience to help residents in their daily lives. An active member of Projet Montréal since 2019, he campaigns for universal accessibility and the inclusion of people with disabilities in political life and sits on the boards of organizations working on these issues. Today, he wants to put his expertise to work for the residents of Snowdon to build a sustainable, supportive neighborhood on a human scale.
