Christopher McCray
Sainte-Marie
Ville-Marie
A climatologist and committed Sainte-Marie resident, Christopher has been putting his scientific expertise and civic involvement to good use in his neighborhood for several years. A researcher with the Ouranos consortium, he analyzes the impacts of climate change in Quebec and contributes to developing adaptation solutions, while also communicating these issues to decision-makers and the general public.
Residing in Montreal for about ten years, he quickly established roots in his community, finding the Village a place of belonging and engagement. Active with Projet Montréal since 2018, he has served on the Board of Directors, co-coordinated the Ville-Marie CoALA, and participated in organizing election campaigns.
On the ground, he co-founded the 'Collectif: Apaisement pour Sainte-Marie' and campaigned with the Ville-Marie Active Mobility Association, contributing to concrete progress such as securing Larivière Street, calming the Jean-Baptiste-Meilleur school area, and improving the cycling network.
Driven by a desire to take more concrete action, Christopher now wishes to put his experience and energy to work for everyone, working towards a safe, resilient, and accessible neighborhood.

The Team
Ville-Marie
Ville-Marie is a diverse borough, ranging from the bustling downtown core to Chinatown, including the Village, the Latin Quarter, Centre-Sud and Shaughnessy. Each area has its own unique atmosphere and enriches the cultural diversity of the city. The economic heart of Montreal, the borough is also home to the Old Montreal, a living testament to the city's history, which attracts many tourists every year. Ville-Marie also benefits from Montreal's green lung, Mount Royal, which serves as a natural refuge from urban activity. It is a place where the past, present and future meet.
