Coming from an academic background and with extensive international experience, Émilie Brière has spent the past 15 years fostering dialogue between the research community, governments, the business sector, diplomatic representatives, and more recently, Indigenous Peoples. At McGill University and later at Polytechnique Montréal, she contributed to major projects that enhanced the visibility and economic vitality of the city, such as the Biofabrication Hub, Espace Aéro, and the future Clean Tech Innovation Centre in Montreal’s east end. Always driven by the desire to bridge local, national, and international perspectives, she builds ambitious collective projects that bring meaningful impact to all stakeholders.

Her political engagement is deeply rooted in her daily life as a citizen and a mother. She lives in Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—the borough of her children’s school, the neighborhood library, the sports centre, and the local shops she frequents. There, she witnesses both the richness of her community and the challenges it faces.

With her strong listening skills, ability to mobilize, rigor, and strategic mindset, Émilie is joining Projet Montréal to help build a metropolis where economic development is powered by bold social and environmental policies.
