Saint-Laurent
Ty Jeevaratnam is a dedicated professional in economic development and civic engagement. A political science graduate from McGill University, she co-founded and managed a third-wave café on Décarie Boulevard, which became a gathering place and a symbol of resilience for the Saint-Laurent community. As Vice-President of the Legacy Project Montréal, she contributes to education and awareness on HIV/AIDS, working toward its prevention and eventual eradication in Canada. Deeply involved in community life, she is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and strengthening the social fabric of her neighborhood. A sports enthusiast and half-marathon runner, she now wishes to put her energy, experience, and deep attachment to Saint-Laurent at the service of the residents of Côte-de-Liesse.

The Team
Saint-Laurent
Saint-Laurent is a dynamic and diverse borough. A hub of innovation, with its cutting-edge industrial and technological center and two CEGEPs, it also embodies the cultural richness of the metropolis thanks to its population from all corners of the world. Here, young people grow up in welcoming schools, families enjoy green spaces and communities come together around solidarity initiatives. In a nutshell, Saint-Laurent represents the vision of an inclusive, sustainable and equitable city: a place where the local economy thrives, where active and collective mobility takes root and where every citizen has a place.
