Originally from Saguenay, Véronique Tremblay complete a bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université de Sherbrooke before settling in Nuns’ Island, where she has been living for over 25 years. The discovery of this dynamic, inclusive, and people-oriented community deeply rooted her in Verdun, a borough she cherishes for its vitality, social diversity, and warm community spirit.

Professionally, Véronique began her career in the community sector before turning to the world of business and media. She held several management positions, notably in sales, business development, and community relations, within large media companies. She then joined the family business while building a blended family of five children. Her entrepreneurial, mediating, and organizational skills led her to become actively involved in her community: chair of the elementary school board of directors, co-chair of the school foundation, she also worked relentlessly on the creation of the second school on Nun’s Island (École des Marguerite) and was member of several boards of directors. Inspired by memorable encounters with committed elected officials, Véronique took the plunge into municipal politics in 2017, driven by a deep desire to listen to her fellow citizens and take concrete action to improve their daily lives. Elected as a borough councillor, then as city councillor in 2021, she continues her commitment with rigour, and kindness to build a Verdun where all can thrive.
