Élise Tanguay
Saint-Paul—Émard—Saint-Henri-Ouest
Sud-ouest
A communications and mobilization professional, Élise Tanguay is recognized for her expertise in housing. As Director of Public Affairs at UTILE (Unité de travail pour l’implantation de logement étudiant), she contributed to developing innovative non-profit student housing projects in Montreal and elsewhere in Quebec, particularly in the South-West.
Her career has led her to negotiate financing agreements, spearhead government initiatives, and take part in shaping policies aimed at expanding the supply of affordable housing. Building on this experience, she now wishes to put her expertise at the service of Montrealers to protect affordability and expand non-market housing options.

The Team

The Sud-Ouest borough is a true urban gem, vibrant with history and renewal. Crossed by the Lachine Canal and rich in industrial heritage, it skillfully blends heritage and modernity. Its six neighborhoods offer a dynamic cultural life, community spaces on a human scale, and green spaces accessible to all. Thanks to a close-knit community, the Sud-Ouest is an inclusive living environment where everyone has a place. With its lively neighborhoods, local infrastructure and vibrant cultural programming, it embodies the spirit of Montreal: warm, innovative and deeply human.
