Stefana Lamasanu
Desmarchais-Crawford
Verdun
Stefana Lamasanu has been putting her experience and commitment to work in Verdun for over 13 years.
She has made concrete contributions to the education and lives of families in her community as a former elected school trustee and co-founder of the Saules-Rieurs alternative school. She has also been involved in food security projects in the borough.
Holding a PhD in communications, she co-founded the McGill Lecturers' Union during her studies, a field experience and teamwork that taught her to lead long-term projects for a good cause with determination.
A mother of two children raised in Verdun, Stefana wants to protect what makes her borough so magical: a close-knit community, a unique quality of life along the riverfront, and a true "village" where people can grow up, live, and age together. A candidate for the position of borough councillor in Desmarchais-Crawford, she wishes to put her listening skills and experience to work for a more inclusive, greener and more cohesive Verdun.

The Team
Verdun
A proud and engaged community in a borough that has retained its village spirit, Verdun is located at the crossroads of dynamic urban life and natural riches.
Cradled by the river for over 15 km and enlivened by Wellington Street, it is a unique area in Montreal, full of surprises in every neighborhood.
Verdun has been constantly changing in recent years and continues to forge its path between past and present, building a future where everyone has a place.
