A committed activist, social entrepreneur, and woman of action, Carla Beauvais has dedicated more than 25 years to building a more equitable society. After studying communications at Université de Montréal and UQAM, she earned a certification in diversity and inclusion from Cornell University, as well as several certifications in the governance of public institutions from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés.

Deeply rooted in community action, particularly in the Saint-Michel neighborhood where she grew up, Carla developed a strong capacity for listening and a nuanced understanding of the social, economic, and cultural issues facing Montréal’s neighborhoods. In 2016, she co-founded the Dynastie Foundation, which she has transformed into a vital platform highlighting and supporting over 700 talents from Black communities through flagship initiatives such as the Dynastie Gala, professional training programs, research projects, and a cultural entrepreneurship summit. Her work has been recognized with numerous distinctions, including the YWCA Women of Distinction Award (2022 and 2025), the Medal of the National Assembly of Quebec (2024), the Medal of the MP for Bourassa (2024), CBC’s Changemaker of the Year Award (2024), and most recently, the King Charles III Coronation Medal (2025).

A resident of Ahuntsic-Cartierville for the past three years, Carla has found a true sense of belonging there. She is determined to put her experience and drive at the service of residents, guided by the conviction that lasting change begins where we live. With a vision grounded in equity, proximity, and collective responsibility, she is committed to amplifying voices too often left unheard and to helping build a Montréal that is fairer, more human, and more united.
