Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles
Arriving in Montreal in 2018 after completing his studies in Haiti, Johnley Pierre quickly established himself as a committed community leader and a voice for solidarity. Founder and president of the organization Nous faisons ce que nous pouvons (NSK), he has been working for over ten years to provide positive alternatives for youth and to support people in vulnerable situations, both in Haiti and in Montreal.
A former player with Haiti’s national soccer team, Johnley began his community involvement as a teenager by creating sports activities to help prevent juvenile delinquency in his neighborhood. In Haiti, NSK distributed school supplies and food to families in need, while also offering recreational opportunities for young people.
Recognized for his dedication, Johnley has received several honors, including the 2024 Fight Against Racism Award in the “Individual” category, and more recently, the King Charles III Coronation Medal in February 2025. These distinctions highlight his essential role as a bridge-builder between communities and institutions, and as an inspiring role model for Montreal’s youth and Black communities.
Alongside his social engagement, Johnley is pursuing studies in International Business at HEC Montreal and is also an entrepreneur. Through his many commitments, he embodies the values of motivation, trust, and loyalty.
As Projet Montréal’s candidate in Rivière-des-Prairies, Johnley is determined to put his experience and energy at the service of his borough. His priorities: supporting youth and families, strengthening local solidarity, fostering inclusion, and building a fairer, more human-scale community for all.

The Team
Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles
In Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles, we enjoy a high quality of life thanks to the presence of the St. Lawrence River and the Rivière des Prairies. With nearly 150 parks and green spaces, including two nature parks, there is a wide variety of outdoor activities available and protecting biodiversity is at the heart of everything we do.
You can explore our area along Gouin Boulevard, which runs alongside the Rivière des Prairies, or through Parc de la Traversée in Pointe-aux-Trembles, a former railway yard that has been transformed into a linear park accessible year-round on foot or by bike. The river shuttle connecting the Old Port and our borough remains a must-see.
Our community is tightly knit thanks to its residents, community organizations and meeting places, such as our two public markets.
